Banishing the Serpents From Modern Ireland
I like this modern representation of the legend associated with St. Patrick. I especially like the reference to Michael Flatley (see the writing on the snakes). A major part of the legend of St Patrick is that he drove all snakes out of Ireland forever. Of course this is probably just a metaphor for the fact that he drove out pagan beliefs and rituals, which are commonly associated with snakes.
This year I hope to photograph and video the Dublin parade using a Sony NEX-7. This camera was originally due for release in Q4 of 2011 but due to natural disasters production was interrupted and it was indicated that the NEX-7 would not be available until 27th of March but I now expect to have one in my hands by the end of this week.
Update: The body arrived but the lenses that I had hoped to use will not be delivered until the beginning of April.

A selection of science related questions that children may ask will be explored by Ireland’s leading pageant companies who each will present their imaginative, colourful and thought provoking creations on March 17th.
